Cable Pushdown (straight Arm) V. 2

This exercise works your large back muscles (lats) using a cable machine and a straight bar. It also helps your arms and shoulders. To do it right, you must keep your arms straight and your body still the whole time.

Cable Pushdown (straight Arm) V. 2 demonstration

How to Perform

  1. 1Connect a straight bar to the high cable pulley.
  2. 2Stand in front of the machine. Keep your feet apart and bend your knees a little.
  3. 3Hold the bar with your hands facing down. Keep your arms straight.
  4. 4Tighten your tummy muscles and keep your back straight. Breathe out as you push the bar down to your legs.
  5. 5Stop for a short moment at the bottom.
  6. 6Breathe in as you slowly let the bar go back up to where you started.
  7. 7Do this again for as many times as you want.
